About this tool
A ZIP file does not have to compress anything to be valid: stored entries simply bundle files together with checksums. This tool builds such an archive in plain code, using its own CRC32 table, so a single text file becomes a downloadable archive. It is labelled honestly as stored-only, because no deflate compression is applied.
Frequently asked questions
Is the ZIP really valid if it is not compressed?
Yes. Stored is a standard ZIP method; the file is bundled and checksummed, just not made smaller.
Can it hold more than one file?
This simple version builds one stored text entry per run.
