What is the Word Search Puzzle Generator?
Type a list of words and get a square grid with each word hidden across, down, or diagonally, forwards or backwards, and the empty squares filled with random letters. In the browser you can type each word as you find it to tick it off, and win when the whole list is found.
How to use it
- Type your words, separated by commas.
- Choose a grid size bigger than your longest word.

Each word is placed in a straight line across, down, or diagonally, forwards or backwards, and the remaining squares are filled with random letters.

Can a word be placed backwards?
Yes. Backwards and upwards placements are included, which is why reading the grid in every direction matters.
What if a word does not fit?
Words longer than the grid are skipped, and the result says which words could not be placed, so you can use a bigger grid.
