WhatsApp Chat Link Generator: One Link, One Open Chat
Asking someone to save a number first is friction. A wa.me link skips it and opens the chat directly.
What is the WhatsApp Chat Link Generator?
A wa.me link opens a WhatsApp chat with a number you choose, optionally with a first message already typed. This generator cleans a phone number down to its digits, checks that the digit count looks like a real international number, and encodes the message safely into the link. It only builds the link, so no message is sent from this page and nothing is stored.
How to use it
- Enter the phone number with its country code.
- Type an optional first message.
- Click Generate Chat Link.
- Share the wa.me link, or open it to start the chat.
Worked example
Generating a link for +447700900123 with a greeting gives a wa.me link with that number and the encoded message.
How do I make a WhatsApp chat link?
Use https://wa.me/ followed by the full international number in digits only, and add ?text= plus an encoded message when you want a first message prefilled.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the plus sign or spaces?
No. Spaces, dashes, and the plus sign are stripped, leaving only the digits, but the country code must still be present.
Does this send the message?
No. It only builds the link. The message is sent only when someone opens the link and presses send in WhatsApp.
