Plant Watering Reminder: Never Guess the Next Watering Day
Watering on a guess leads to soggy or thirsty plants. Counting forward from the last watering date gives one clear next date to check.
What is the Plant Watering Reminder?
Enter the plant name, how often it needs water, and the date it was last watered, and the tool works out the next watering date and the weekday it falls on. In the browser the plan is shown on the page for you to check; this tool does not send background notifications, so treat the date as a plan to check back on rather than an automatic alert.
How to use it
- Enter the plant name.
- Set how many days between waterings.
- Enter the date it was last watered.
- Click Plan Next Watering and note the next date.
Worked example
A Monstera watered on 2026-10-26 with a 7-day interval is next due on 2026-11-02, a Monday.
When should I water a plant last watered on 2026-10-26 every 7 days?
On 2026-11-02: add the 7-day interval to the last watered date to get the next watering date.
Frequently asked questions
Does it send me a notification on the day?
No. It shows a plan on the page only, with no background notifications, so check back on the date shown.
What if my plant needs a different interval in winter?
Change the interval and re-plan; plants often need less frequent watering in colder, darker months.
