Packing List Generator: Count It Before You Zip the Bag
Most packing stress comes from guessing quantities. Counting tops and bottoms from the days away turns a worry into a checklist.
What is the Packing List Generator?
Choose the trip type, days away, and travellers, and the tool works out clothing counts from the trip length, multiplies them for the group, and adds toiletries, essentials, and trip-specific gear. The result is a checklist, not a vague reminder to pack: every line can be ticked off as it goes into the bag.
How to use it
- Choose your trip type.
- Enter days away and travellers.
- Click Generate My Packing List and tick items off as you pack.
Worked example

How much clothing does a 5-day city trip need?
For one traveller: 5 tops, 3 bottoms, 5 pairs of socks, and 5 sets of underwear, plus walking shoes, a day bag, and the usual essentials.
Frequently asked questions
Does it scale for more travellers?
Yes. Clothing counts are multiplied by the number of travellers, so a group list stays accurate.
What about trip-specific gear?
Each trip type adds its own gear, such as hiking boots for hiking or a warm coat for winter, under its own heading.
