How to Combine Keywords for Campaigns and Research
Combining keyword lists by hand is slow and error-prone. Learn the cross-product method and how match types change the output.
What is the Keyword Combiner?
The Keyword Combiner multiplies your lists together — every term in list 1 against every term in list 2 (and list 3 if given) — and also emits phrase-match and exact-match variants for ad campaigns.
How to use it
- Enter up to three keyword lists, one term per line.
- Click Combine keywords.
- Copy the combinations for campaigns or research.
Worked example
Combining [garden, kitchen] with [tools, supplies] gives garden tools, kitchen tools, garden supplies and kitchen supplies, plus phrase and exact variants.
What is the difference between broad, phrase and exact?
Broad matches related searches, phrase requires the words in order, and exact requires the precise term. Each suits a different stage of a campaign.
