Flight Time Calculator: Land on the Right Local Time

Flight durations alone do not tell you when you land locally. Adding the time-zone shift turns a duration into an arrival time you can plan around.

What is the Flight Time Calculator?

Enter the departure time, the flight duration, and the UTC offsets of the departure and arrival cities, and the calculator returns the arrival time in the destination local time, including whether it lands the same day or a day earlier or later. Offsets accept half hours, such as 5.5, and the result is a time calculation only, not a live flight status.

How to use it

  1. Enter the departure time on a 24-hour clock.
  2. Add the flight duration in hours.
  3. Enter the UTC offsets for departure and arrival cities.
  4. Click Calculate Arrival Time and read the local arrival time.

Worked example

Departing at 10:00 for a 7-hour flight from UTC+0 to UTC+5 lands at 22:00 local time on the same day.

How do I work out a flight arrival time?

Add the flight duration to the departure time, then adjust for the difference between the departure and arrival UTC offsets.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle half-hour time zones?

Yes. Offsets accept decimals such as 5.5, so half-hour zones are included in the calculation.

Does it show live flight delays?

No. It calculates from the times you enter, so delays and schedule changes are not reflected.
