Decision Maker: When You Just Cannot Choose

Some choices are small but strangely hard. A shuffled pick breaks the deadlock, and your reaction to it often tells you what you really wanted.

What is the Decision Maker?

Write your options, one per line, and the tool shuffles them and picks one. It is best for low-stakes choices such as what to watch or where to eat. For anything serious, treat the pick as a nudge to notice which option you were hoping for, not as advice.

How to use it

  1. Write what you are deciding.
  2. List your options, one per line.
  3. Click Pick For Me and let the shuffle choose one.

Worked example

With Comedy, Drama, and Documentary on the list, the shuffled pick lands on one of the three options.

Should I let a tool make important decisions?

No. Use it for low-stakes choices, and make serious decisions with proper thought and advice.

Frequently asked questions

What if I dislike the result?

That is useful: it usually means you already preferred a different option, so go with that one.

Can I add as many options as I like?

Yes. List as many as you want, one per line, and one will be picked.
