Date Calculator: What Date Is 30 Days From Now?
Counting days across a month boundary is a classic off-by-one trap. This calculator counts whole days from midnight, so the result lands exactly where it should.
What is the Date Calculator?
Enter a start date, a number of days, and a direction, and the tool returns the resulting date and the day of the week. Date maths is easy to get wrong by one, especially across months, so the tool counts in whole days from midnight UTC.
How to use it
- Enter the start date as YYYY-MM-DD.
- Enter how many days to move.
- Choose add or subtract and click Calculate Date.
Worked example
Adding 30 days to 1 November 2026 gives 1 December 2026, a Tuesday.
Why does it use UTC midnight?
So daylight-saving changes cannot shift the date by an hour and push the count to the wrong day.
Frequently asked questions
Can I subtract days too?
Yes. Choose subtract and the tool moves backwards by the same number of days.
Does it show the day of the week?
Yes. The result includes the weekday, which is often the real reason for the calculation.
