Darts Checkout Finder: Finish on a Double Every Time
A checkout is only a checkout if the last dart lands in a double. This finder searches for a combination that does exactly that.
What is the Darts Checkout Finder?
Enter the score left, from 2 to 170. The tool searches for a one, two, or three-dart finish that ends on a double, preferring big trebles first. Scores above 170 cannot be finished in three darts, and a few scores in range, like 169, have no finish at all.
How to use it
- Enter the score you have left.
- Click Find Checkout.
- Follow the darts in order, finishing on the double.
Worked example
For 100 remaining, the finder suggests T20 then D20: 60 plus 40 equals 100, ending on a double.
How do you finish 100 in darts?
Treble 20 then double 20: 60 plus 40 makes 100 and the last dart is a double.
Frequently asked questions
Why is 169 impossible?
No three-dart combination ending on a double adds to 169, so the best play is to leave a finishable number.
Can I finish on the bull?
The bull counts as a double for finishing, and this finder includes the double bull as an option.
